Do Phật hiệu nên tâm thuỷ ngưng lặng. Bởi thế, kẻ thượng trí chẳng bằng kẻ hạ ngu, biến quá khéo thành vụng về lớn vậy!”

Then let's see this layman Yingxiang Wang, who is a young layman in his 30s. It is said that he has been ill for more than a decade. He was very ill and had 5 broken frostbites on his body. He was the only boy in the family. His mother cared for him and was gonna heartbroken. But his disease could not be cured.
Fortunately, his sister and her husband came into contact with Buddhism, and gathered Lotus friends to advise him to be mindful of the Buddha. 1:00
He was terminally ill and his days were like years. It is said that the wound hurt when he lay down. When he lay down, his wounds would tear open.
Imagine the pain of our flesh being torn apart. He had to be sitting. When he was hungry and eat something or he was thirsty and drank water, pus would flow out of the wounds. It's like a knife was cutting. I have seen too many cases like this. That's why we must abstain from killing beings. Further, be a vegetarian and release animals.
You must cut off the causes of such diseases. Seeing these manifestations of suffering has awakened many people.
2:00
Not daring to harm your own body is the most basic filial piety to your parents. It turns out being able to be mindful of the Buddha with peace of mind is a great blessing. Many people don't have this opportunity.
Having suffered severe pain for a long time, after hearing the Dharma, Wang readily accepted it. His mother also accepted it as there was no other option to help her son.
People took turns accompanying him when available, to chant the Buddha, and advised him to let go of secular things and seek rebirth in the Pure Land. Why?
3:00
Because he couldn't eat food. He was so sick that he dared not eat food.
Everyone thought he might not survive if he didn't eat for a long time and were inclined to send him to rebirth. As a result, he hadn't eaten for a week, hadn't eaten for 2 weeks, and for 3 weeks.
More and more people accompanied him in chanting Only when he was thirsty did he moisturize his lips with a cotton swab because he dared not drink it directly, lest the pus should flow from the wound, and he couldn't bear the pain. As a result, it's so inconceivable. He chanted the Buddha's name day and night. If someone came, he followed the chanting.
4:00
If no one came, he played the chanting machine, and the sound of chanting never stopped. When he was tired, he fell asleep. After waking up, he continued chanting. In fact, he didn't know how many days he hadn't eaten. As a result, it is said that he had not eaten for 47 days. He was so skinny, as if his skin wrapped around his bones.
So time and space are delusion. It would be unimaginable if someone had been hungry for 47 days. He kept on chanting Buddha single-mindedly and had no idea how many days he didn't eat anything.
So sometimes eminent monks will meditate for several months. They do not need to eat food. As long as they feed on the joy of Chan, they will be filled with joy of Dharma. Only the dharma can explain.
5:00
On the 48th day, because he was so hungry, he asked for some congee. With this request, his family gave him some congee. After eating, uh, why didn't he feel any pain from the wound?
Then he unbuttoned his clothes. It was really boundless dharma. The frostbite on his belly that has been there for over a decade has disappeared. Not only was it all gone, even with surgery, there will be scars. There were even no scars. Thus, he survived. He sought for rebirth wholeheartedly, but he survived.
6:00
Only the dharma can explain. If life ends, the patient will soon be reborn. If life does not end, the disease will soon be cured.
It is true that the Buddha tore off the wrappings of sickness and put him back on his feet. Hence, he stood up again and regained his life. Many lotus fellows has been chanting buddha with him and witnessed this inconceivable thing. There are too many such inspirational stories to mention.
