Layman Wang practiced 6 hours a day and saw lotus 3 times 王象89歲。風雨無阻早晚用功各三小時。生前即見蓮花三次

Layman Wang, living in Tianwei, practiced 3 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the evening regardless of weather conditions and lived until 89 years old. It is hard to imagine that at his old age, he practiced
3 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the evening. He practiced from 8 pm to 11 pm. After dinner, he took a bath and went to the Buddha hall. He worshiped the Buddha, chanted the Buddha there,
and went to bed at 11 pm. He got up at 4 am and practiced until 7 am, and went downstairs for breakfast. This is also 3 hours.
At the age of 89, he cropped 400 m²(0.1 acre) of field during the day. Think about it, in this old age, he was able to crop such a large field and still practice in the evening.

His son told me that his father never got sick. Why did he not get sick? Because he practiced diligently. He not only practiced 6 hours a day
but also cropped 400 m² of field.
He was so compassionate that he paved a road on his land and let others pass. He lived behind Tianwei gas station. His land borders Tianwei Primary School and the township office. As a result, township officials going to work, and teachers and students going to school have to take a detour and pass through a broad way,
so they can go to office and school. The elder said it was dangerous
for the students to cross the road.

So he paved a path through his land so that they could pass without having to cross the broad way. He paved the road on his own land. This is the heart of a bodhisattva. He not only practiced hard but also
carried out the way of bodhisattva. Before his rebirth, lotus has come three times. Layman Wang, Xinxi, his son, has bee practicing with us at that time. Later, he moved outside to make a living. Seeing his parents being over 80, he often came back to cook for them and helped plant crops during the day. He usually slept with his father. One night at 11 pm, he and his father lay down at the same time. Rural bungalows have roofs. A fluorescent light was hung under the beam.

After lying there for a while, a lotus flower flew in from the window outside, hovering under the fluorescent light and shining, very big one. His father was dazzled and thought it was not bright enough, so he got up and turned on the light. When he turned on the light, the lotus was gone.
Before the new year, the son returned to his home. When his son returned, this lotus came again. While the elder was sleeping, the lotus hovered below the fluorescent light. and it was shining. Then he knew never to turn on the light, or it would disappear once more. So he didn't turn on light this time but just watching. He said it's as big as a rice sieve, around this big. So he dared not get up to turn on light.
It was 11 o'clock at night and very cold in the winter, he heard somebody was calling him outside.

Axiang, Axiang.
Oh, he said.
I am gonna take you next month.
All right, the elder replied at ease. At that time, it was lunar new year, and it was cold outside. He got up and opened the door.
“It's cold outside, please come in and sit.” As soon as he opened the door, a beam of light flew out in a flash. A beam of light. People come from the Bliss World all have light. Probably Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva came to inform him. After seeing the light flying away, he closed the door. But he found the lotus has gone.
A few days later, his son came back. He described to his son about the inconceivable incident when he was absent these day. “I am leaving next month. Before that, I will have gathering with your brothers.

He has five sons, all of whom make a living outside.”
“Ok, I will drive you to brother's homes.” His son just bought a new car and came to pick him up. Then the elder visited the oldest son, 2nd son, 3rd son, and the 4th son one by one, until Feb 16, they returned to Tianwei.
On Feb 18, he usually practiced from 4 am to 7 am and came down for breakfast. This day, he practiced from 4 am to 6 am and came down. Then he took a bath, changed clothes, and wore shoes. and said to his grandson, Layman Wang might not be on the spot: “Can you make calls for me? Ask your dad and uncles back.”
“Grandpa, everyone is too busy to take care of other things. There's nothing serious, why ask them to come back?”
“Can't you see I've already showered and dressed, and I am ready to go?”

“Where are you going?”
“I'm going to the Bliss World.”
“Grandpa, no kidding.”
“It's true.” Then he was holding a bike and hanging a basket,
“I will go to the market to buy vegetables for them.” See, such this person had taken a bath and dressed well, was ready to be reborn in the Bliss World. He was gonna ride a bike to the market and buy vegetables to feast his children who will come to see him off, he was so at ease. As soon as he returned, he lay down and was reborn.
