I ever read an information in the newspaper several years ago. Someone asked a judge a question: Is suicide a crime?
How did he answer?
He said: Suicide is basically a crime of murder. But he has already taken his own life, so he can not be convicted as a criminal. So, many religious masters assert the existence of hell. If hell is truly existent, he definitely will get trial in hell. What crime? He will be convicted of murder.

Regarding suicide, you must understand that if a person lives a good life until death, or if they become ill, see a doctor but cannot be cured, that is their fate. Thus, you are able to go to transmigrate. If one commits suicide, he has to go to the City of Untimely Death. Speaking of the city of untimely death, I've seen it with my own eyes. I've ever traveled to the city of untimely death. It is separated into three levels.
When one is at the top level, it's very pleasant and not suffering at all. For the medium level, there is no punishment besides the loss of freedom.

Those of a lower level would be taken out and beaten or punished every several days. Very pitiful. So, you must know who will go to those different levels.
Those who are upright and kind, and who sacrifice their lives to save others will go to the top level. He died an untimely death. Some people are for the sake of country, nation, village, or saving others.
For example, jumping into the water to save others, only to drown oneself. People such as loyal officials and righteous warriors won't suffer when going to the city of untimely death. They will be received as noble guests.

How long will he stay? He will remain there until he reaches the age he is supposed to be. For example, if your natural lifespan was sixty years, yet you perished at forty, upon reaching sixty years, you would be sent to a place of goodness as a king or a deity due to your acts of loyalty or righteousness. This is the top level.
How about the medium level? For example, you encounter disasters such as earthquakes, storms, floods, and wars. You don't want to die, but unfortunately, you still die. Those who die unnaturally and go to the city of untimely death will not be punished.
But you need to wait until you reach your age before you can transmigrate according to your goodness or bad.
A person who commits suicide is pitiful.

Fundamentally, it is a crime of murder. So, he has to go to the underworld and get punishment. If you suffer in the sunny world, somebody will pity you. But if you get punishment in the city of untimely city, wailing and whining, no one will pity you. None of your family or relatives will know it. So, it's really pitiful to be abandoned in a place like that. Some men and women choose suicide because they see no good outcome. What hopes do they hold? They hope to become a couple in the afterlife.
Actually, it is foolish. Unable to see each other, the lovers ultimately chose suicide.

They can not be confined together within this city of untimely death. Just like in the sunny world. If a couple convicted of crimes, the man will be imprisoned in the men's jail, and the woman will be separately imprisoned. They can't see each other and will be imprisoned until the end of their lives. When your lifespan is reached, the king of hell will judge you. Let you be a human, and you think life is tough and commit suicide. Ok, since you don't want to be a human, let you be an animal. The man will be reborn as a dog. The female will be reborn as a monkey. If a dog and a monkey meet, they will fight each other. How could they possibly become a couple? Don't be stupid. I am not lying to you.

So, as a person, no matter how much pain you feel, do not commit suicide. Taking the path of suicide is extremely painful. As for the penalty in the underworld, assume a person's lifespan is 60 years, but commits suicide at the age of 20, he will be punished for 40 years in the city of untimely death. You'll cry until your tears run dry. I'm not lying to you. Absolutely no lie.
In addition, some people with chronic illnesses seek euthanasia. Nowadays, many people are discussing whether euthanasia is good or bad. Doctors generally approve of euthanasia.
Within the religious community, faiths such as Buddhism, Daoism, and Christianity all oppose this.
