Buddhism Wisdom Story - Pinnacle of Praying for Son 望子岭

Legend has it that after the attainment of Buddhahood by Dīpaṃkara(Light a Lamp), many incredible miracles took place in the world. There used to be such a legend. Madam, drink it while it's hot. It's useless to drink. Wife, you'd better drink it. Maybe this herb does works.
How did the fortune-teller say? Say it. Say what? Come on. The fortune-teller said: What did he say? He said Master is doomed to have no son.
I've told you I drink these herbs are all in vain.
Master, I heard that the Buddha in Jincin Temple is so compassionate that he will respond whatever you pray. Why don't you two go there and pray to him?
Respond whatever we pray? Master, how about we give it a try?
Take a rest. We've been walking nearly 4 hours. How much farther?

My name is Yu, I've been 50 years old but have no son.

It's been 3 generations, our Yu's only has one son per generation The duty of inheriting incense cannot be destroyed on me. As a disciple, I have a wish: May the Buddha be merciful and bestow me a son.
Good Deeds Notebook. A thousand. Master, what does the dream mean? I understand, it means we have to do 1000 good deeds. Yeah, why didn't I think of that? But, even we do one good deed per day, it takes 3 years to do 1000 good deeds. Alas, we have waited for 30 years, it doesn't matter for 3 more years.
On the other hand, we have to figure out how to do it.
Master. Um. Madam. Did you deliver it? Yeah, they like it a lot. There's enough cloth to make two suits for each of the three children. Ah, it's pitiful for a widow to bring up three kids. Send them a few kilograms of cotton this winter.

Tomorrow we will go to thank the Buddha with our son.
Master, look, our son doesn't look well. Son, he seems to be not breathing.

Don't cry, let's go pray to the Buddha. Yes, the Buddha is so powerful that he can be resurrected.
It's all my fault, I shouldn't have pulled the quilt so tightly and smothered our son alive. Buddha, I beg you to be merciful and save our son, he is only one year old. I am the culprit. I shouldn't have created evil karma by killing chickens and goats for a treat at my son's first birthday party. From now on, I will become vegetarian, chant the Buddha, and never kill animals.
Wife, look, the boy in front looks like our son.
Yeah, it's our son, he is risen.
The Yu couple donated half of their wealth to monastery thereafter. Since then, they became vegetarians, chanted Buddha's name, cultivated virtue, and did good deeds. Because of this story, later people call here the Pinnacle of Praying for Son.
