It is said that during the Tang Dynasty, the people of Sanshe did not recognize the Three Jewels and did not know they had created a lot of bad karma. One day, a beautiful young woman came here with a fish basket.
This is the beauty I dreamed of. Miss, you're so pretty. I'm not married. Will you marry me? My wife just passed away, please marry me. All my possessions are yours.
Alas, So many people pursued her, how could she take a fancy to me?
Amitabha, Sir, Did you sigh for that woman?
Master, you know, I'm really ashamed.
What morals and abilities do I have to attract that woman's favor?
It's said, Men like to pursue beautiful women.
If you're really interested in that woman, why not find a matchmaker to propose marriage?

Your wife is not a woman selling fish. She is a manifestation of Guan Shi Yin Pusa(Avalokitesvara).
I understand. Bodhisattva is nudging me. Let me carry forward the dharma. From then on, Layman Ma became a monk and spread the Three Jewels. He sowed good seeds for the local people and bore good fruits. Since then, the legend of the fish basket Guan Yin has been handed down.
