Do Phật hiệu nên tâm thuỷ ngưng lặng. Bởi thế, kẻ thượng trí chẳng bằng kẻ hạ ngu, biến quá khéo thành vụng về lớn vậy!”

The next one is the mother of Jison Chen, a student in our Analects class of Lotus Society, Laywoman Xiuqing Zhou. Brother Chen went abroad to study in the UK and returned with a doctorate degree. He is a diligent and humble student in our Analects class. At that time he was studying in the Analect class, his mother was sick. Buddhists are usually filial. He saw that his mother was old and sick. He has such wisdom that he cares his mother's rebirth in the future, and how to deal with it.

It's like at that time, our Teacher Li asking Master Yinguang about those things in a letter. The letter returned by the Patriarch is exhibiting in the memorial hall of Teacher Li. Seeing that his mother was hospitalized, he went to the Lotus Society and spent an entire afternoon asking about the rebirth process for his mother. He noted down many pages of information for rebirth, including how to deal with it in the hospital, what to do when one is dying, how to deal with it at home; how to put in coffin; how to do with the funeral; how to do with cremation; how to enter tower? He asked very clearly. I was very touched when I saw this. No one asked such detailed questions as he did. After the questions, I grasped him to kneel down in front of the Buddha,

chant Buddha and pray for blessings. He asked: What to pray? May it be your turn to look after your mother aside when she is reborn. In this way, you can complete this task according to Buddhism. On hearing my words, he knelt in front of the Buddha sincerely and prayed for blessings. As soon as he finished praying, a message came asking for help in reciting. He never helps in reciting and doesn't know what it is. So I took him with me to help in reciting so as to give him an on-the-spot experience. Hang the Buddha picture; post the note; arrange a place;

shouldn't touch, cry, or change clothes for the dead. Then he has an impression. When the chanting aid was over and he was going home, it was coincidentally his turn to take care of his mother. They have several brothers who take turns taking care of their mother. Then he spoke what he just learned in the Lotus Society to his mother. His mother was extremely happy after hearing that because she was also a Buddhist who chants Buddha. As a result, she told him, I will be relieved if you can help me do this when I am reborn. Then he said: Excellent, mom, from now on, we can often chant Buddha together.

Let's start now. Her ward is located in Linkou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital. One ward with six beds. They, mother and son, were reciting quietly. People of the other beds knew they were Buddhists. So, they were chanting Buddha while others were chatting. They felt at ease while chanting. They kept chanting, the 1st incense, the 2nd incense, till the 3rd incense. His mother was reborn on the spot. Originally he was just reciting Buddha's name with his mom, and she got reborn. At that moment, he calmed down right away. He cooled down smartly and quickly drew the curtains.

and covered her with dharani blanket. Since he hasn't notified the hospital this person has gone, the blanket only covered up to the chest. His mother slept on her side. He immediately turned off the intravenous drip. He told his wife: You chant Buddha first, I will call the Lotus Society right away.
After calling in the lotus friends to help with the chanting, he kept chanting from the sidelines. There is always such trouble in the hospital, and doctors and nurses come to check on the wards once in a while, about every 30 minutes. During this period, they made several attempts to check on the patient. He was smart enough to say, “My mom needs to rest, please don't disturb her.”

And sent them out. Later, the head nurse thought it was strange how this patient hadn't been documented for hours. So she broke in and said, I want to see if this patient has the intravenous drip. In fact, the drip has been turned off long ago. Though it has been turned off, there was still liquid in it, and she didn't pay attention if it was dripping or not. So, she just checked around as usual. After watching the drip, she turned to look at her mother and said, "Your mother sleeps so soundly." Then she went out. After that, lotus friends kept coming in to accompany them in reciting the Buddha. The chanting lasted for a long time, and the people in the other beds became tired.
7:00
They uttered: Though reciting Buddha is good, but it has been 9 pm, and we want to rest. Indeed, it'll cause inconvenience if we continue. Hence, I said, It's 9 pm currently. It has been over 8 hours, and we can prepare to move her. Because she was reborn at noon, a full eight hours had passed by nine o'clock in the evening.
After we transferred merits, we were thinking about the next step.
