Do Phật hiệu nên tâm thuỷ ngưng lặng. Bởi thế, kẻ thượng trí chẳng bằng kẻ hạ ngu, biến quá khéo thành vụng về lớn vậy!”

Let's look at this laywoman – Wu Li, Qiu Luo. This is our Taichung Ciguang Orphanage, Teacher Wu, Bisha's mother. All of her children have achieved success. Once, she went abroad with her husband. Two people went abroad. In the end, only one person came back. Her old pal passed away. After experiencing the impermanence of the world, she accepted her daughter Teacher Wu's filial piety and was determined to learning Buddhism. Further, she moved to Taichung and immersed herself in the Buddhist atmosphere.
1:00
Because her children had immigrated to foreign countries, once she went abroad with Teacher Wu to visit them. What did she told her daughter? “My luggage will be checked in by airplane, but most importantly, you must bring along my Help Chanting Rebirth Bag. Must bring it along on the plane and take care of it for me.”
Think about it, Buddhists who bear the Buddha in mind would view death as a return. The ordinary going abroad usually say auspicious words, such as: May you have favorable winds in your sails. But the elder considered the matter of life and death to be critical. If you have ever flown on an airplane, you know that it is like hanging your life in the air.
2:00
At any moment, if something happens, you will bid farewell to the world. Therefore, Buddhists who bear the Buddha in mind must be alert to this. Mrs. Wu was alert to this, so she brought the Help Chanting Rebirth Bag on the plane. It can come in handy in any emergency, and she will be reborn. She is outstanding.
As the years go by, lotus friends grow older and the number of times they chant for rebirth increases. Everybody notice this thing gradually. Most of lotus friends will write a will before going abroad. If I don't make it back from this trip, how are you kids going to organize all this properly?
3:00
Because of this action, kids become even more filial. When their parents returned home, they quickly returned the will, as if they had reclaimed their honorable parents.
Mrs. Wu practiced diligently like this. To achieve the way further, she moved to Taichung Ming Garden with Teacher Wu. Ming Garden and De Yard are the names of two buildings. These two buildings were built by lotus friends to repay Teacher Li for his decades of dharma teachings, and they named the building "Ming de", a dharma name given to Teacher Li by Master Yin Guang.
4:00
One side is De Yard, and the other side is Ming Garden, where more than 100 households of lotus friends live. These two buildings are used not only as morning and evening courses for practicing together but also for dharma lectures. In addition, there is a vegetarian restaurant that provides three meals a day except Sunday and holidays and offer to all monks and nuns, including elders over 80 no matter they are lotus friends or not, and there is a discount for over 70.
5:00
Thus, they advocate respect for the elderly and promote healthy vegetarianism. Therefore, the elderly living in this circumstance are very delighted. This is the best circumstance good for elders to chant Buddha and get rebirth. When young people usually go to work, these elders can get together and chant Buddha without feeling lonely. In addition, there are nannies to take care of children who come home from school. Whether it's chanting Buddha or doing homework, they will call the roll. This will help children observe each other and behave well. So, they are able to focus on home work and Buddha chanting, and also look after mutually when having problems. There are Chinese doctors and western doctors among the residents. It's convenient for the elders to see a doctor if feeling unwell.
6:00
The most important thing is the help-chanting of rebirth. More than 100 residents have phone connection. When there are classes or lecture events, they are able to respond quickly after the broadcast.
When the time for the elder's rebirth comes, they will go to their homes to help chanting. No need to drive or take the bus. No time will be wasted. After the shift of help-chanting is done, they return home to have dinner. That's extraordinary. It's really that many good people get together.
I think we mortals are easily influenced by the environment. Without a good group, your mind of the way could fade away soon. As the proverb goes: After one years of studying Buddhism, Buddha is in front of eyes; After 2 years of studying Buddhism, Buddha is in the west sky;
7:00
After 3 years of studying Buddhism, Buddha has transformed to cloud and smoke.
However, if you take it seriously, you may change it as: After one years of studying Buddhism, Buddha is in front of eyes; After 2 years of studying Buddhism, Buddha is beside; After 3 years of studying Buddhism, Buddha is in the mind.
Especially, we Buddhists keep chanting Amitabha name until dispelling delusions.
