The first among the view delusions is body view. A truly awakened person no longer cling to the body as his own. This is a significant point. If we vow for rebirth in the Pure Land of Amitabha (Sukhavati) get this straight and clear, not to cling to the enjoyments of body, we won't have obstacle for our rebirth in the Pure Land. Why are some people reborn in the Pure Land at ease without the help of chanting the buddha?
There is advantages to help chanting but should know there is also a side effect. Not following the dharma is the side effect. Where can you find real help in chanting according to dharma?
Master Yin Guang talked a lot in his articles. People must follow the dharma when help chanting. Do not touch body of the deceased. Do not touch the body to test if it's warm. Don't do those unnecessary interference.
However, no one seem to listen to these words. Whether the deceased really goes to Sukhavati or not? Nobody knows. Patriarchs told us.

Only one situation tells if he is truly reborn (in Sukhavati). What situation? As taking his last breath, he told his friends around him: “Amitabha Buddha has come, I'm going with him.” That is real rebirth, no doubt about it.
Others like the top of the head is warm, said in the sutra clearly. Those who ascend into heaven have a warm head (and a soft body too). So when someone will perish, the last warm air will dissipate from his head. This person will ascend to heaven, this is for sure. Is he reborn in the pure land? That is not certain.
There are many heavenly paths. The 4 Kings and Trayastrimsa (33 heavens) are the bigger ones. There are levels among them. It depends on how much good fortune you have cultivated, which decides where you will go. Buddhists who cultivate good fortune will usually ascend to 4 Kings and Traysastrimsa Heaven. Buddhists have bigger good fortune. Buddhists promote dharma mostly acquire big good fortune.
So, though we still have the vexation of secular views and thoughts but get it lighter and thinner. Thus, we won't have obstacle when leaving.

The lighter we view the secular things the better. It is a good thing to help others in our lifetime. Will anyone help me (with chanting) when I am departing? Better not to count on it.
Expect others to help me when I depart. What if there is none when I depart? At that time, you will be disappointed, and then complain. You will feel upset and go to 3 evil paths, which is horrible.
We sincerely help others' rebirth with chanting buddha but don't rely on others when leaving. We must have this determination. Can you do that? Of course you can.
An example in front of us grows our confidence. A real story of the pot tinker. No one saw him off when he departed.
