Nguyện 18 trong 48 Đại Nguyện của Phật A Di Đà :
Nếu con được thành Phật, mà chúng sanh trong mười phương dốc lòng tin tưởng, muốn sanh về cõi nước con chỉ trong mười niệm, nếu không được toại nguyện, thì con chẳng trụ ở Ngôi Chánh Giác, trừ kẻ phạm năm tội nghịch và gièm chê Chánh Pháp.

“ Ấn Quang từ Tây qua Ðông, từ Bắc xuống Nam, qua lại hơn vạn dặm, gặp gỡ nhiều người. Trong số đó, lắm kẻ bình nhật tự vỗ ngực là bậc thông Tông, thông Giáo, coi Tịnh Ðộ như uế vật, chỉ sợ nó làm bẩn lây đến mình. Lúc lâm chung, đa số chân loạn tay cuống, kêu cha gào mẹ. Trong số ấy, có những người trì giới niệm Phật già giặn, chắc thật, dù Tín Nguyện chưa đến mức cùng cực, tướng lành chẳng hiện, nhưng đều an nhiên mạng chung. Vì sao như vậy? Là vì tâm thuỷ trong lặng, do phân biệt nên xao động, đục ngầu, sóng thức trào dâng. Do Phật hiệu nên tâm thuỷ ngưng lặng. Bởi thế, kẻ thượng trí chẳng bằng kẻ hạ ngu, biến quá khéo thành vụng về lớn vậy!”

Karma is true. The Buddha told us that in the Shurangama Sutra, floods come from greed. Greedy people induce floods. Seas level rise, glaciers melt. Greed causes floods. Anger and hatred induce fires, volcanoes erupt, and drought weather. Lose temper too much, anger causes fires. Ignorance and obsession induce strong wind. There are hundreds of tornadoes in a month, which has never happened before in history, causing serious disasters. Arrogance induces earthquakes. There's doubt. Greed, anger, ignorance, arrogance, doubt.
The ancient great virtues and patriarchs have spoken greed, anger, ignorance and arrogance a lot and less about doubt. I have now discovered that the disaster led by doubt is even more serious than the previous four.
What's a doubt? Not believe. Doubt is terrific nowadays. Why? It's too common. This is a serious problem.
Not believe self, not believe parents, not believe teachers. Not believe in ethics, not believe in karma. Not believe in buddhas, not believe in gods.

They do not believe anything. What is this disaster of doubt? It is the loosening of the earth. In the "Ksitigarbha Sutra", the God of the Firm Earth. The earth was originally solid and firm, but now the earth is loose and slack, The mountains are prone to collapse, and the earth are prone to sink. What is the cause? It's induced by doubt.
For our body, our body is a microcosm, and the external environment is a macrocosm, and the macrocosm is no different from the microcosm. Treating things with doubt will destroy the human immune system and make you vulnerable to infection from the outside.
So, a person with strong faith will have a strong immune system, the germs cannot harm him. We understand this truth, and truly establish a good attitude in our hearts. If we are not greedy, not angry, not ignorant, not arrogant, and not doubtful, all disasters will naturally be resolved.
