Do Phật hiệu nên tâm thuỷ ngưng lặng. Bởi thế, kẻ thượng trí chẳng bằng kẻ hạ ngu, biến quá khéo thành vụng về lớn vậy!”

7 kilometers away from my hometown, there lives a blind actor named Wei. On Lunar New Year's Eve in 1746, he went from house to house in the village, singing traditional songs to celebrate New Year, and people were willing to share food with him. While loading food into his pocket, he expressed gratitude to the villagers for their kindness. Then he carried it piggyback on the way home. Halfway there, he accidentally fell into a dry well.

At that time, he was in a deserted suburb. Moreover, it was New Year's Eve, and all the families reunited. In spite of all his desperate screaming, no one heard him. Fortunately, it wasn't too cold in the dry well. In addition, he had food in his pockets that the villagers had given him. So he ate some cookies when he's hungry and bit some fruit when he's thirsty. A few days have passed and he is still alive and well. One day, A butcher, Wang, passed by with a pig in his hand. Not far from the well, the pig suddenly struggled hard and broke the rope, and it ran furiously in the wild. Unbiased, it just happened to fall into this well. When Wang tried to hook up the pig, to his surprise, he found a man in the well as well. Thus, the blind artist with only his last breath was rescued. In fact, the well was not on the way Wang was going.

He might have been secretly led here by ghosts and gods. My old brother, Chinhu, ever asked this blind artist: What was you thinking when trapped in this well? He said: At that time, I was disheartened and only concerned with my old mother at home. She was miserable, lying alone in bed, and hoped me to come home and take care of her. Then she would even lose me. How would she spend the rest of her life? Thinking of this, I couldn't help but feel like my heart was cut with a knife, and my insides were to split. After listening to him, my brother said with emotion: Back then, if the blind artist had not been so filial, the rope to tie the pig would not have been broken and he would not have been rescued.
