Ladies and gentlemen, good evening. We've talked about positive belief in the last session. We learn the way and listen to the sermon. We must distinguish between positive belief and superstition. Positive belief is following the teachings of each religion by studying the orthodox scriptures in depth. This is positive belief. Superstition is that people like inspiration, manifestation, and are muddled, rely on God and Buddha, this is superstition. No matter what religion you believe in. If one doesn't do good deeds or doesn't have morals, he absolutely won't ascend to heaven or to the West.
Once I met a Daoist, who is a benefactor of CiHui Hall, and he said something to me. Teacher, you must believe in Golden Mom. Golden Mom is the greatest among all gods. Golden Mom is the mother of living beings, including buddhas and gods. So, Golden Mom is supreme. Only by believing in Golden Mom, you can follow her to go to heaven, or go to the West.

I find it funny to hear that word. All secular people want to believe in a greater one. How great you want to believe in? Nowadays, who is the greatest in this country? President is the greatest one. Who has the smallest position? Chief of neighborhood has the lowest position. Suppose you are the son of the president. If you don't go the right way, as the son of president, can you be a high official? As the son of the chief of the neighborhood, if you work hard, don't you have a chance to become a high official?
Secular people don't know many things. You want to rely on Mom. What she can help is very limited. Bless you with peace and wealth. Bless you with health if you are sick. That is possible. Let Mom take you to her side or ask Mom to ferry you to heaven, that's impossible. I guarantee that is 100% impossible. Suppose you are the president's son.

If you don't study, you gang up and become a rascal, only ask you father: Dad, you are the president, how about letting me be the premier? Is it possible ? Absolutely not. If your father is biased and assign you the premier, will you really be able to sit in that chair? If you are the premier and get an official document. Say, Premier, this document requires your approval. Black words written on the white paper, no idea. You don't even know what it is. You will resign tomorrow. You are unable to do it, right?
Suppose your dad is lowly and dumb, you study hard and get a degree of bachelor, master, doctorate. Additionally, you pass a special exam and get a certificate. In the future, you can be any high official, even run for president, that is possible. This is a simple rule.
So if you pray to God and Buddha for help. What can they help? For example, a son comes to his parents and seeks help. Dad, Mom, I don't have money. That's ok, I give you some pocket money. Mom, I feel uncomfortable. That's ok, I will take you to the doctor. Mom, I want to marry a wife. Okay, I'll find you a woman to marry. These things are solvable.
It's the same with our belief in God and Buddha. You feel not safe or are sick. He may bless you or help you. But it is impossible to free you from rebirth.

However, God bless you to be rich. Where does the money come from? Where does the money come from? He blesses you and you are healed. How is your disease healed? Do you know the principle? That is bestowed on me by god. God cures me of my disease. Impossible. The God himself is still in the 6-path reincarnation. He is also practicing, and he has limited good fortune.
He can't bless you without limit. Then how does he bless me with money? I give you a simple example. For example, I have brought good fortune from past life, and I can spend 30 grands per month. But you think 30 grands is not enough
to cover your expenses. So you pray to Golden Mom for making more money. Suddenly, you make 50 grands per month and you are very happy. I pray to Mom, now I make 20 grands more.
But, you have to know those money let you enjoy 50 years originally. For your further request, as a result, you use up your good fortune in 30 years. Thus, some say they are more inspired at the beginning of worship than later. Because God and Buddha can't help you infinitely.

It's like you have deposited money in bank account and you withdraw 30 grands a month for expense. Suddenly you feel 30 grands are not enough. Then you withdraw 50 grands next month. The bank says, Sure, I give you if you want to redraw, it's your money originally. When your account is empty, the bank will not let you withdraw money. It is as simple as that.
How many diseases a person is sick; How much a person earns; how much he eats; how much medicine he takes in his life is destined. You get sick today is to let you sick slowly.
So, there is an ancient word. A humble bowl is more resistant to fall.
