Do Phật hiệu nên tâm thuỷ ngưng lặng. Bởi thế, kẻ thượng trí chẳng bằng kẻ hạ ngu, biến quá khéo thành vụng về lớn vậy!”

Is Layman Zhang here today? He came here yesterday. I think I just saw him come to the lecture. Once, he had a heart attack (angina). It is said that during a heart attack, the patient cannot last more than 5 minutes. When a heart attack occurs, the patient is in extreme pain. Western doctors call it angina, but normally we call it heart wrung pain. Is this word pronounced Jiǎo? He described to me: When this symptom occurs, his heart feels like it's being wrung.
1:00
It's extremely painful. Once, he went out with his pals at noon. Their car broke down halfway. He got out of the car and pushed it. Probably due to overexertion at noon, he suddenly had a heart attack. He never has that symptom, and it was his first time. At that time, it was so painful that he could hardly stand it. He knew it was heart attack. His pal wanted to call a cab. He said: I'd rather you call an ambulance, hurry up. Then he called an ambulance. You must keep chanting Amitabha for me all the way, and don't talk to me. So he kept chanting Amitabha for him all the way. When they arrived at Jame's Heart Specialist Hospital in Yuanlin,
2:00
the doctor gave him a quick diagnosis and realized this man was hopeless. So he refused to save him. Because it took them more than 20 minutes to go to the hospital, much longer than 5 minutes. The rescue time has expired. His heart began to fail and he fell into a coma. So they were unwilling to save him. After staying there for a while, he was sent to the nearby Wulan Surgery Department. When he was rescued, he was chanting Amitabha. He said those who chant Buddha have light.
3:00
He saw the light of the one who helped chant for him. Therefore, not only will the Buddha emit light to those who chant the Buddha, but we who chant the Buddha will also have light in our hearts. Our light in our hearts are usually obscured by our delusions and vexations. When we are dying, if we chant Amitabha, the light in our hearts will appear. On the one hand, it relies on the light and merit of the Buddha, and on the other hand, we can show our own light. For each Buddha chanting, he saw its light. He was chanting and also had his light. Though he was in a coma, he chant Amitabha in his heart and saw light.
4:00
The old saying goes: If you chant in a loud voice, you will see a large Buddha; if you chant in a small voice, you will see a small Buddha. He felt he was gonna die, so he chanted aloud, praying Amitabha to save him and take him to the Bliss World. He shouted: Amitabha, come and pick me up, like this in a very loud voice. Amitabha, come and pick me up. Just then, a bright light shot out. As he chanted the 2nd one, a bright light shot out too. As he chanted the 3rd one, a bright light shot out as well, sending forth from his heart. Then he woke up during the 3rd chanting without having medicine or getting treated.
5:00
The doctor wanted to ask him questions. He said: Wait until I finish speaking before asking me questions. He then claimed that he is willing to donate organs, but with some strings attached. He thought he would die. The doctor advised him that heart patients should carry a bottle of life-saving medicine with them. In case of an attack at any time, they can take a pill first and then be transferred to the hospital quickly, only then the rescue will take effect. Otherwise, he will not be rescued. After taking the life-saving pills, he'll need to be examined within 15 days. He never went for a checkup or took life-saving pills.
6:00
He said: I will die anyway, just leave it to Amitabha. Recently, he had a heart attack, which was interesting. He didn't call ambulance this time. By what? He rode on a motorcycle himself. One hand on the bike, the other pounding his heart. Amitabha. He kept pounding his heart, the other hand held the bike. With that, he rode to the Jame Heart Specialist and parked his motorcycle. He went in to see the doctor. The doctor gave him an electrocardiogram and measured his pulse, but his heart wasn't beating. On seeing that, the doctor was shocked. His heart wasn't beating, but he could talk.
7:00
How did you get here? Who brought you here? He said: I rode motorcycle here myself. What? How did you ride motorcycle? I was like this, Amitabha, kept pounding and came here. Where are you from? I'm from … The doctor was trembling with fear, even more than he. The doctor said: Go somewhere else quickly, I can't save you here. Hurry up, trying to drive him out. He said: Don't be afraid. I won't die. He comfort the doctor. You hurry to the Wulan next door. The doctor was so scared that he was trembling when he spoke. He couldn't speak smoothly for fear that he would die there. Ok. Then he took his bike and rode it again.
