Do Phật hiệu nên tâm thuỷ ngưng lặng. Bởi thế, kẻ thượng trí chẳng bằng kẻ hạ ngu, biến quá khéo thành vụng về lớn vậy!”

There is a large slaughterhouse, that is the renowned Honglong Slaughterhouse.
Oh, they slaughter so many pigs every day in this slaughterhouse.
Of course, Honglong Slaughterhouse is the only
modern slaughterhouse in the nearby city. Most of the pork sold in the market comes from here.
Really? So, this is hell for the pigs.
Yea, This place is truly hell on earth for pigs.
Director Liu, can we kill those dozens of pigs in shed number three today?
Well, these 60 pigs have been here for 3 days,
1:00
it's time to send them on their way. So, kill those 60 pigs.
Okay.
The holiday is approaching, market demand is expected to increase significantly. So, we need to slaughter more livestock to meet market demand.
We kill about 100 pigs this morning.
Yea, Huang, why do we kill so many pigs these days?
Isn't the holiday approaching? As holidays approach, we have to ramp up production a few days ahead.
Yes, we earn extra overtime pay for several days in a row before the holiday.
Zhang, if you work more overtime lately, you'll definitely make a fortune.
But my mother disallows me to work here anymore.
2:00
She wants me to resign today.
Oh, why is that? You should know our company is highly profitable. Many people aspire to work here but fail to secure a position. Why does your mother want you to quit?
You're doing a great job here, so what's wrong?
My mother learns Buddhism and has a vegetarian diet. She said this vocation is a sin of killing. Keep doing this will get karma eventually.
Get karma, Zhang, you don't believe in karma, do you?
What should I say? I don't believe it at the beginning.
But my mother told me many true stories about how killing animals would bring karma.
3:00
I'm now somewhat convinced.
Those stories were just told by your mother. Without seeing it in person, how are you convinced of that?
That's right. I am the one who has been working here the longest. Thousands of pigs have died in my hands. But look at me now, have I received any karma?
That's right. You see people in this slaughterhouse. Which one has got karma?
Zhang, just stick to your job here and don't worry too much.
Oh. Despite this, Zhang heeded his devoutly Buddhist mother's advice and resigned from this slaughterhouse.
Mom, I don't know why I always feel exceptionally refreshed after releasing animals back into the wild.
Of course, releasing animals is doing benevolence.
4:00
While killing living things is creating bad karma. Doing benevolence will naturally make you feel refreshed because you are accumulating good fruit.
Does committing killing living things necessarily lead to bad fruit?
Absolutely.
So, why are my colleagues in the slaughterhouse all safe and sound?
Both goodness and evil have rewards. When the consequences befall them, it will be too late to regret. Um.
Afterwards, consequences befall this slaughterhouse.
Gao, all the pigs are loaded onto the truck, twelve in total, no more, no less. Are these pigs enough today?
How can twelve be enough? We've been working overtime a lot lately, and I have to deliver to the slaughterhouse at least three times a day to keep up.
5:00
Oh, that's quite a lot. Your slaughterhouse business is really booming.
Right. Lately, I feel drowsy whenever I sit down because I feel tired. I'm exhausted.
You must be careful. Never doze off when driving.
Sure, I know.
Oh, help. My legs are stuck.
Gao has been driving for many years and has never had an accident. Why was this accident so serious?
Yea, the accident is so weird. The accident scene was horrific. Gao was seriously injured, but the pigs on the truck were all unharmed.
6:00
Many people said that Gao sends many pigs to our slaughterhouse to be slaughtered every day is a sin, so he got karma.
Isn't this utterly absurd? If sending pigs would bring karma, then why are people like Huang, who slaughter pigs every day, unscathed?
That's right, I'm not convinced of karma at all. Fresh Fruit House
Zhang, we no longer work in the slaughterhouse. Yea, we both resigned.
That's great. I've said that we shouldn't be in professions that involve killing living beings. Why did you suddenly realize this when you weren't convinced before?
Many tragic things happened in the slaughterhouse recently. After experiencing these incidents, I am convinced that cause and effect really exist in the world.
