Nếu con được thành Phật, mà chúng sanh trong mười phương dốc lòng tin tưởng, muốn sanh về cõi nước con chỉ trong mười niệm, nếu không được toại nguyện, thì con chẳng trụ ở Ngôi Chánh Giác, trừ kẻ phạm năm tội nghịch và gièm chê Chánh Pháp.

“ Ấn Quang từ Tây qua Ðông, từ Bắc xuống Nam, qua lại hơn vạn dặm, gặp gỡ nhiều người. Trong số đó, lắm kẻ bình nhật tự vỗ ngực là bậc thông Tông, thông Giáo, coi Tịnh Ðộ như uế vật, chỉ sợ nó làm bẩn lây đến mình. Lúc lâm chung, đa số chân loạn tay cuống, kêu cha gào mẹ. Trong số ấy, có những người trì giới niệm Phật già giặn, chắc thật, dù Tín Nguyện chưa đến mức cùng cực, tướng lành chẳng hiện, nhưng đều an nhiên mạng chung. Vì sao như vậy? Là vì tâm thuỷ trong lặng, do phân biệt nên xao động, đục ngầu, sóng thức trào dâng. Do Phật hiệu nên tâm thuỷ ngưng lặng. Bởi thế, kẻ thượng trí chẳng bằng kẻ hạ ngu, biến quá khéo thành vụng về lớn vậy!”

Welcome to Da Ai Headlines. I’m Ruby Ng. Thank you for joining us. In China, Changchun Tzu Chi volunteers travelled 128 kilometers to Yongji, just to send winter warmth to the local residents, helping them face this pandemic tough time.

In Tainan, the Weiguan apartment complex collapsed in the 2016 earthquake. Before this, many signs of building insecurity were found. It is believed that more attention should be drawn on the safety of building structure and urban renewal should be implemented to prevent future disasters.

Let’s take a look at Tzu Chi’s major events that took place in July and August of 2020 in response to the pandemic.
4.花志業辭歲
Before Lunar New Year, Tzu Chi staff from four missions gathered to send new year blessings to everyone. Students from Tzu Chi University also dressed up in their traditional hometown clothing to perform a sign language song.
5.慈濟醫療辭歲
Tzu Chi medical staff from around Taiwan also gathered before Lunar New Year to make a vow to safeguard their post continuously and wish the pandemic to end soon.
6.印發送春節禮
In Indonesia, Tzu Chi volunteers in Tebing Tinggi and Medan worked together to distribute rice, food packages and red envelopes to the local residents impacted by the pandemic.
7.馬分送紅包
Owing to the pandemic, the year-end blessing ceremony held in Hualien, Taiwan, was broadcast through the internet for Malaysia Tzu Chi volunteers to join. Malaysia Tzu Chi volunteers also distributed red envelopes to the public before Lunar New Year.
8.(志工組年菜) 小蔬童林睿恩
Also in Malaysia, Butterworth Tzu Chi’s after-school class held a campaign to encourage students to adopt a vegetarian diet for a month. Let’s meet the student, Lim Rui En(林睿恩), who is willing to go meatless even after the one month.
