ਸੋਚੈ ਸੋਚਿ ਨ ਹੋਵਈ ਜੇ ਸੋਚੀ ਲਖ ਵਾਰ ॥
Socẖai socẖ na hovaī je socẖī lakẖ vār.
By thinking, He cannot be reduced to thought, even by thinking hundreds of thousands of times.

ਚੁਪੈ ਚੁਪ ਨ ਹੋਵਈ ਜੇ ਲਾਇ ਰਹਾ ਲਿਵ ਤਾਰ ॥
Cẖupai cẖup na hovaī je lā▫e rahā liv ṯār.
By remaining silent, inner silence is not obtained, even by remaining lovingly absorbed deep within.

ਭੁਖਿਆ ਭੁਖ ਨ ਉਤਰੀ ਜੇ ਬੰਨਾ ਪੁਰੀਆ ਭਾਰ ॥
Bẖukẖiā bẖukẖ na uṯrī je bannā purīā bẖār.
The hunger of the hungry is not appeased, even by piling up loads of worldly goods.

ਸਹਸ ਸਿਆਣਪਾ ਲਖ ਹੋਹਿ ਤ ਇਕ ਨ ਚਲੈ ਨਾਲਿ ॥
Sahas siāṇpā lakẖ hohi ṯa ik na cẖalai nāl.
Hundreds of thousands of clever tricks, but not even one of them will go along with you in the end.

ਕਿਵ ਸਚਿਆਰਾ ਹੋਈਐ ਕਿਵ ਕੂੜੈ ਤੁਟੈ ਪਾਲਿ ॥
Kiv sacẖiārā hoīai kiv kūrhai ṯutai pāl.
So how can you become truthful? And how can the veil of illusion be torn away?

ਹੁਕਮਿ ਰਜਾਈ ਚਲਣਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਨਾਲਿ ॥
Hukam rajāī cẖalṇā Nānak likẖiā nāl.
O Nanak, it is written that you shall obey the Hukam of His Command, and walk in the Way of His Will.


--- INSIGHT ---
This Mantra is for Understanding the true nature of what we call GOD, or the Creator of all this Universe. And How can we truly know, truly connect with that source. No matter what tricks we apply, we can fast, we can donate money, we can remain silent, but all this wont help us to connect with that source. Only when we fully surrender to his will, and understand that what we all are - just a creation of that one source. then all the chatter in mind stops, all the running around stops, we follow his will. We align ourselves to the universe. And how can we do that? When we follow our hearts, our true desire. Some how our souls already know what our true desire is. Thats the will of this universe. Thats your purpose in life. And when you totally surrender to his will, you will find yourself filled with energy, filled with positivity, filled will love, passion and happiness.
