People who Like to Joke need to pay Attention 講話常愛開玩笑的人注意了

For everyone, If you are meditating, sit still for more than an hour a day. You usually worship Buddha and recite mantra, In this case, you have a calm force emerging. However, if you often tell jokes and laugh with others, then meditate again, you will realize something goes wrong. That is, you are a person who often talks jokes, when meditating, you will find that your heart is fluctuating and turbulent. You have to spend a long period of meditation and visualizing before you can subdue it because it has obstructed the way. That’s why you know the great wisdom of Buddha. Every command he makes tells you not to do this, there must be a reason. So this little delusive speech is not urgent. But to some extent, he is already increasing his sinful karma and destroying his good roots.

It is the erosion bit by bit.
Let us take a small case as an example. When the Buddha was alive, there was a poisonous dragon in a small village. This dragon often came out to hurt people. Then, this villager invites the five hundred Arahants who live on the mountain to come and tame this poisonous dragon. These five hundred Arahant couldn't tame him with their divine powers. This poisonous dragon obviously had a great blessing from the past. In addition, it estimated accurately that you these Arahant dared not hurt me. By the end of their fight, both of them were exhausted, and they went back separately. Later, the villagers saw that the five hundred Arahants could not subdue the poisonous dragon, so they had to go to the Buddha. The Buddha sent a monk and said, You go. When that Arahant monk went to the place where the poisonous dragon was, he only said one word.

You have to go out and shouldn't live here. Just this phrase. That dragon appeared immediately, paid homage to the monk and left. At this time, the villagers felt strange and asked the Buddha. “Why couldn't those 500 Arahants surrender the poisonous dragon, but this Arahant can surrender it with just one word?”
The Buddha said, "When this Arahant practiced in the past, he cautiously observed the precept of the little delusive speech."
So, he relies on the power of good root. Of course, it's due to the power of good root that he could achieve Arahantship. Everybody has the good root of self-void so as to achieve Arahantship. However, there are differences in the good karma among Arahants. Surely, it doesn't obstruct you to attain an Arahant. But when you benefit others, it will affect your power of majestic virtue.

Namely, the purer you observe precepts, the more mysterious and wonderful the sound will be. You have to listen to him. Strangely enough, he has such good karma. Therefore, the Bodhisattva first pursues the roots of goodness in his heart. In the end, he has to pursue complete good karma, thus he will have majestic virtues. Though this is a little wrong, it is necessary to have full grades of perfection before you achieve Buddhahood. All the precepts established by the Buddha make sense.
