Do Phật hiệu nên tâm thuỷ ngưng lặng. Bởi thế, kẻ thượng trí chẳng bằng kẻ hạ ngu, biến quá khéo thành vụng về lớn vậy!”

Saying the Buddha's Name (Namo Amituo Fo in Chinese), fulfils all our wishes of peace and happiness, like the legendary Mani Jewel (described by Master Tan Luan). It is a 33 min. worship of Amida Buddha, which can be used for your daily Nembutsu (念 佛), when you would come into the inconceivable presence, of the protecting Light of Boundless Compassion.

As the six character Name is not a mantra or meditational practice, you can follow the recitations in your own language of choice:

"Namo Amida Bu" "Namo Amituo Fo", "Namo Adida Phat", "Namu Amita Bul" ..etc.

Saying the Buddha's Name (南 无 阿 彌 陀 佛), is the Great Practice given by Amida Buddha, as an easy means for ordinary foolish persons, like us, to free ourselves from the vicious cycle of pain and suffering. The Nembutsu (念 佛) is the essence of Amida's Primal Vow, His absolute pledge, to save all who say it, aspiring for birth in The Land of Peace and Bliss.

A more detailed discussion on 'Benefits of Saying the Buddha's Name, is presented in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gfpH8doTl60&t=22s

Notes on Taking Refuge in the Triple Gem ( Buddha, Dharma and Sangha):
1. We single-mindedly take refuge only in Amida (Amitabha) Buddha.
2. We single-mindedly take refuge in Amida Buddha's Primal Vow and Saying His Name.
3. We take refuge in persons with settled faith in Amida"s Primal Vow (Sangha).
