Do Phật hiệu nên tâm thuỷ ngưng lặng. Bởi thế, kẻ thượng trí chẳng bằng kẻ hạ ngu, biến quá khéo thành vụng về lớn vậy!”

(English subtitles) Master Hui Lu (慧律法師), born in 1953, talk dharma.
Please note my analogy, Eyes, When our eyes are painful, or our eyes have an ailment, When we look out at the void, Look, in the air, Master...There are flowers falling in the void. He doesn't know his eyes are sick. Ordinary people see nothing. But when his eyes hurt, there is everything, he sees all kinds of sights because of his eye hurt. The eyes in pain mean the heart of consciousness, looking at this world with attachment and discrimination, then there are everything. Indeed there is.
One day, when our eye disease is cured, no cataract, no pain, and eyes return to normal, and vision returns to normal. Normal means we become enlightened one day. When you look at the world with a healthy heart. Wow, everything is like
a bubble and like in a dream. The normal eyes are likened to thusness(tathātā) or self nature. The sick eyes are likened to our heart of consciousness. The eyes of sentient beings are sick . The heart of sentient beings has an ailment. All beings are trapped by ignorance(avidyā) with headstrong attachment and delusional discrimination. So they created a chaotic environment full of all kinds of discrimination, fighting against each other.

When the eyes are healed, that is when one learn Buddhism, he knows this is delusion and is willing to let it go. It's like he found a good doctor. Buddhism is likened to a good doctor. Dharma has cured his heart ailment. When his health returns to normal, his delusional attachment no longer exists, his delusional discrimination no longer exists either, and ignorance is also broken. When he restores his nature of tathagata and sees this world: Wow!
Originally, there is nothing. Where does it attract dust? Seeing all kinds of form is developed from your original nature. Form, sound, aroma, taste, touch are all from your stored nature. So you must remember a phrase from the Essentials of the Transmission of the Heart written by Chan Master Duanji. You don't have to learn any dharma but learn to dwell (your heart) nowhere. It's the switch of all the Buddha's teachings. For a Buddhist, you don't have to learn anything
except this trick. This trick is: Dwell nowhere. That said, don't get attached to anything. There's nothing worth being so obsessed with. Let it go. When you let go of attachment, your normal heart will emerge.
Do you want to find your true heart? Do you want to find your Buddha nature? You sleep with a Buddha every day. Don't you know that? How can you see a Buddha? You may see him if your eyes have no ailment, and you may see the truth of the world, If you break ignorance in your heart and let go of attachment and discrimination, you will have a pure heart. At the gates of your 6 roots, you see every form, and they are void, you hear every sound, and they are void. No matter how bustling it is, your heart is always unshakable.

You practice Buddhism but didn't get this point, see how you are mindful of the Buddha? You are mindful of the Buddha for a while, then you are vexed for your family. You are mindful of the Buddha for a while. Then you are afflicted with others grudge and jealousy. What does it have to do with your birth and death? You must learn to be wiser. Your birth and death is more important. Sure, you must consider your afterlife. Then you must take care of your heart. Right?
