Do Phật hiệu nên tâm thuỷ ngưng lặng. Bởi thế, kẻ thượng trí chẳng bằng kẻ hạ ngu, biến quá khéo thành vụng về lớn vậy!”

You teach worldly people. To practice samadhi, one must first cut off his lust. That is the utmost determination to be pure, which is a clear teaching of all Buddhas. One of these words is crucial. To practice samadhi, one must first cut off lust, which is a clear teaching of all the Buddha. Following the most important words: That is the utmost determination which has no room for discussion. If you want to be enlightened, you must do it. No room for discussion. Absolutely no room for negotiation. Lust must be eradicated. You can't even come up with that idea. The utmost determination. It's the determination you can't discuss. That's the clear teaching for purity. This is to notice Ananda, in the future must transfer this teaching to those who begin to practice samadhi. Lust is the enemy of the great meditative concentration. Not only the body does not have sex actions but also the mind doesn't have lustful thoughts.
Practitioners must be cautious with this advice like walking on thin ice. If so, the fruit will be in line with the cause. Tathagata means the current Buddha. Tathagata and all the past Buddhas say so. So it's convincible. Lust is the utmost in the 4 heavy ones(Kill, Steal, Lust, Delusion). Therefore, a practitioner must cut off the lust in his mind, practice with purity and will be aware of the teaching eventually. Therefore, Ananda! If one practices meditation without cutting off lust, He is like, steam sand and stones, and anticipate them to become rice. After eons, it is only called hot sand. Why? Basically, those are not rice but just sand and stone. The words are easy, let me explain. Therefore, Ananda, If one practices meditation without cutting off lust, he is like, steam sand and stones and anticipate them to become rice. You put the sand in the pot and cook. After eons, they are still sands. Anticipate them to become rice.

After eons, they are only called hot sands. Without the right cause, How can it produce the right effect? So, why? Basically, those are not rice but just sand and stone. So, you need the right cause. With the cause of no birth and no death, and the heart of no birth and no death, then you can attain the fruit of no birth and no death. That's for sure. You seek the wondrous fruit of Buddhahood with a lustful body, even if you get wondrous comprehension, all are rooted in lust. If you have obscene roots, you won't be able to get out of reincarnation.
How can you practice and attain Nirvana? Let me simply explain. At every moment, you seek the wondrous fruit of Buddhahood with a lustful body. That's absolutely impossible. Even if you have some wondrous comprehension. These are based on the lustful roots that strongly leads to the karma of reincarnation. Then you are unable to be free from reincarnation.
How can you attain nirvana? You go the wrong way and must go the right way. If you continue having sex, that's using your lustful body to seek the marvelous fruit the Buddha has achieved. The cause isn't in line with the effect. Similar to cooking sand into rice. When the Buddha was in this world, he laid down this precept. One monk sat cross-legged in the forest. But he had very strong lust. A female monkey happened to pass by. This female monkey happened to be in heat and slowly approached him. The monk lost control and had sex with this monkey. So, the Buddha add a word: Even the animals. Can't do it, including with animals.

Some would think, This is for humans, then I find a dog or a monkey. These are disallowed in the Buddhist precepts. It's stricter for nuns. If nuns go hiking, there is no people in the mountains. There is stream rushing down. The mountain water washed down with a little punch. If the nun takes off her clothes and flushes with water. As long as she feels a little pleasure at the sensitive place. It violates. Even flush with water. If the nun, who has take precepts, goes in the mountains. I am not married. What to do if I am lustful? Then she finds a more protruding rock and sit on it. Rub, rub. Though, there is no man nor with animals. I just sit on this rock and mingle with it. Can't do that either. Some people, if can't do this, can't do that. Ok, I will ride on the horse back. The nun rides on the horse back. Vibrating..., and I feel good. That violates too. This is very strict. When the Buddha was in the world, a nun had strong lust. So this is worldwide, not a secret. Nothing about rude.

In this world, that is the human with the strong instinct to propagate descendants. This nun was doing spiritual practice but feeling impatient. Lust came, and she couldn't control. But the Buddha formulated the precepts. Nuns may not have any relationship with men. When lust came, she had no choice but to get a pepper in the farm, and that was like men's root. Then she solved it herself. In modern terms, this is sex toys. She used sex toys instead.
