--- MANTRA & MEANING ----
ਜੇ ਜੁਗ ਚਾਰੇ ਆਰਜਾ ਹੋਰ ਦਸੂਣੀ ਹੋਇ ॥
Je jug cẖāre ārjā hor ḏasūṇī hoe.
Even if you could live throughout the four ages, or even ten times more,

ਨਵਾ ਖੰਡਾ ਵਿਚਿ ਜਾਣੀਐ ਨਾਲਿ ਚਲੈ ਸਭੁ ਕੋਇ ॥
Navā kẖanda vicẖ jāṇīai nāl cẖalai sabẖ koe.
and even if you were known throughout the nine continents and followed by all,

ਚੰਗਾ ਨਾਉ ਰਖਾਇ ਕੈ ਜਸੁ ਕੀਰਤਿ ਜਗਿ ਲੇਇ ॥
Cẖanga nāo rakẖāe kai jas kīraṯ jag le.
with a good name and reputation, with praise and fame throughout the world

ਜੇ ਤਿਸੁ ਨਦਰਿ ਨ ਆਵਈ ਤ ਵਾਤ ਨ ਪੁਛੈ ਕੇ ॥
Je ṯis naḏar na āvī ṯa vāṯ na pucẖẖai ke.
still, if the Lord does not bless you with His Glance of Grace, then who cares? What is the use?

ਕੀਟਾ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਕੀਟੁ ਕਰਿ ਦੋਸੀ ਦੋਸੁ ਧਰੇ ॥
Kītā anḏar kīt kar ḏosī ḏos ḏẖare.
Among worms, you would be considered a lowly worm, and even contemptible sinners would hold you in contempt.

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਿਰਗੁਣਿ ਗੁਣੁ ਕਰੇ ਗੁਣਵੰਤਿਆ ਗੁਣੁ ਦੇ ॥
Nānak nirguṇ guṇ kare guṇvanṯiā guṇ ḏe.
O Nanak, God blesses the unworthy with virtue, and bestows virtue on the virtuous.

ਤੇਹਾ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਸੁਝਈ ਜਿ ਤਿਸੁ ਗੁਣੁ ਕੋਇ ਕਰੇ ॥੭॥
Ŧehā koe na sujẖī jė ṯis guṇ koe kare.
No one can even imagine anyone who can bestow virtue upon Him.

--- UNDERSTANDING THE MANTRA ---
Pause, for a moment. close your eyes and take your attention inside. are you running after something - money, power, to get control of something, or may be you are of the perfectionist kind, and you are running just to make things perfect. reality is that all this stems from that void inside, which we think we can fill with money, power, more control, more perfection. and some name it as greed. But what ever way you put it, its very important to understand that no matter what you do, that void you feel inside can not be filled with anything outside, anything external. It can only be filled by something internal, something inside of you. And its you who need to find that gold - your gold, inside you. And this mantra is there to help you. Take time to understand it, and then meditate upon it, Chant it along 40 times atleast. May be silently in your mind, and let this video play in the background.
