Do Phật hiệu nên tâm thuỷ ngưng lặng. Bởi thế, kẻ thượng trí chẳng bằng kẻ hạ ngu, biến quá khéo thành vụng về lớn vậy!”

There is a miracle shown by the Living Buddha while living in the Shwedagon Pagoda after he came to Yangon. When he came to Yangon, he did not heal the sick as he had done in China. So few people knew he could heal the sick, and he never told anyone he could heal sickness.
This is how the magic happened. In the overseas Chinese community in Yangon, a renowned Chinese, Mr. Qingyun Chen, a Fujianese, believed in Catholicism, and he had never contacted Buddhism or any monks.
However, Chen's wife has a different belief. Because she had lived in this Buddhist country for a long time and was exposed to the general Buddhist activities in front of her eyes, she unwittingly developed faith in Buddhism. She often went to the temple, burnt incense, offered flowers, and worshiped Buddha and monks.
Once, she heard that there was a Chinese Living Buddha in the Shwedagon Pagoda, which aroused her curiosity.
One day, she took her eldest grandson to the Shwedagon Pagoda to pay homage to the Living Buddha. After prostrating herself, she urged her grandson to prostrate to the Living Buddha.
While prostrating, the little grandson kept shouting, "yeah." It turned out that his grandson was mute. Since birth, he never spoke, and he had been six years old.
When the Living Buddha saw that the child could not speak, he mercifully took a teacup, filled a cup of water, drew on the teacup with his finger for a while, murmured in his mouth, and handed the water to the dumb kids to drink. The kid was reluctant to drink it at the beginning. The Living Buddha said, "Drink it! I have a predestined affinity with you. After you drink this cup of water, you will be able to speak." The kid seemed to understand the meaning of the Living Buddha, so he held the cup and drank the water.
At that time, Mrs. Chen saw the situation and was dubious in her mind. She couldn't quite believe that there was such an inspiration. She thought how a cup of water could make a mute speak. It would not be that easy.
Unexpectedly, when they returned home, a miracle really happened! That dumb kid actually spoke up. The family was pleasantly surprised. Mrs. Chen told the family that the dumb drank the divine water drawn by the Chinese living Buddha in the Shwedagon Pagoda today, so he could speak. Everyone considered it as a miracle!Chen was overjoyed to see that his dumb grandson actually drank the talisman water drawn by the monk and could speak, so he changed his belief, believed in the Three Treasures, converted to the Living Buddha, and became a disciple of the Living Buddha.
He paid homage to the Living Buddha, made offerings and was attentive to him. Chen's son Jianfu Chen spoke out about this story recently. Of course, it is true. Undoubtedly, it was a great miracle that the Living Buddha had treated the dumb and let him speak. It's apparent there are well-cultivated Buddhist monks who can do many inconceivable things.
As for the cup of water drawn by the Living Buddha, I guessed it was the water of the "Great Compassion Mantra", because many Buddhist fellows said that the Living Buddha got inspiration by reciting the "Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva Great Compassion Mantra."
According to Buddhist Tantric principles, anyone reciting secret mantra gets inspired will have incredible ability. However, this is not something ordinary Buddhist disciples can be achieved just by following suit and reciting a few words of secret mantras.
Firstly, one must be strict in precepts and discipline, refrain from sex and greed for money. Further, one must have great compassion. In addition, one must have the vow to liberate all sentient beings.
