After being a vegetarian for 3 years, I started to learn Buddhism at Yuanton Temple in Puli. This is due to at that time, my wife was seriously ill. She said on the bed: I'm gonna die but never sat in a car. I just received the project payment of NTD 550k that day. I heard her words outside and thought: Indeed, she was so pathetic,

so I pledged to buy a car for her the next day. Then I bought a Honda Civic 1600cc sedan for 520k. After getting the car, I planned to take her on a trip on Sunday. First we went to Kadori Amusement Park in Taichung and then browsed around to Yuanton Temple. We met a monk who just retired from a bank. He taught us how to worship the Buddha and introduced 3 sages of the West. Amitaibha Buddha holds lotus in hand; Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva holds a vase; Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva holds a lotus too. He also taught us how to worship the Buddha. We felt delighted after hearing that. It took us 2 hours to drive back home. I was so tired that I took a bath and lay on bed.

That is the 1st day of the 7th lunar month, which is the month when Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva preaches filial piety. As soon as I lay down, a golden lightning hit me. I was frightened and thought: Why did the lightning strike me? I'm gonna die. At that moment, my body was split in two, one was still sleeping, the other me jumped onto the golden lightning and also became golden. In the blink of an eye, I have arrived in the Bliss World in the west. I was amazed to find the fields as wide as the sea and shimmering with gold. When I stepped on it, it was soft and sank like a sponge.

The vibe here are excellent, I feel very relaxed and my mind is settled. Then I saw 6 big feet, astonishingly, they actually were human feet. I looked up and saw that the Three Saints of the West were as tall as dozens of stories. They were so tall I couldn't see their heads. Amitabha automatically shrunk his body to the same height as me and asked if I would like to come back. I told him: My skull is not broken, I am still young, who will take care of my children and mother? How old are you? At that time, I was 31. I began to be a vegetarian at 28. I said: My skull is not broken, I'm not coming back. At that time, I had not yet learned Buddhism,

and I did not know that the Bliss World was so wonderful and could cut off reincarnation. Amitabha said: Or, you can take a walk, browse around and then go back. Ok, I will look around and go back. After a while, he said: Time is up. It's almost dawn, you should go back. I just arrived, and he said time is up. Ok, I will go back. Then the lightning showed up again, I climbed up. Before seeing me off, Amitabha told me the most important words. I will pick you up later. He gave me a promise. Foretold you are coming. Good, I will let you pick up but not now. This is a special experience that I went to the Bliss World just when I learnt Buddhism. Some people like to go but in vain. This is due to fate. If you practice seriously, you'll have inspiring response. Some people crave it. In fact, it is better to let nature take its course. If craving it, you'd get obsessed with it.

You shouldn't be attached. Have you ever done anything good to help or benefit sentient beings or animals? Ever since I was 18, if I saw a cat or dog injured in a car accident, I would take them to the vet. Back then, I just earned 500 one day, but the medical expenses for an injured cat or dog cost at least 300. Then I have no income left that day. At that time, my father told me to support the whole family of nine. It's very tough. I need to work every day. Without work, there is no income to buy rice.
