Citizen in Action Camp la Familia Australia 2018 (extended version)

Foreword
On behalf of the Pure Land Learning College Association and The Scout Association of Australia - Queensland Branch, I wish to welcome you to the La Familia - Citizens in Action camp. Baden Powell said that a week in camp is worth six months in the classroom. While our camp does not last for a week we hope that you will get much out of this camp. The aim is that you will learn a lot about yourself, your friends and your family over the next few days. Like many things in life how much you will get out of this experience is based on how much you wish to put in.
During the camp, you will be accumulating memories, experiences and knowledge. Most importantly, you will be doing this while developing friendships and having fun!

Dear Friends,
Greetings to you!
We are very excited to offer this camp held jointly by the Pure Land Learning College Association Inc. and The Scout Association of Australia-Queensland Branch. Through this cooperation, we are learning about various cultures and beliefs, and broadening our minds to see other possibilities of the wider world.
In this camp, scouts will learn human values such as loving-kindness, respect, responsibility, humility, mindfulness, and trustworthiness, as well as how to be a good example to the community one is in.
To become a wonderful person, the values mentioned above are essential for us to develop into independent, yet caring and helpful, compassionate yet wise individuals. Such people will be able to look after their body and mind, and care for their family as well as look out for others in the community and society.
We sincerely hope that this camp will provide opportunities for scouts to reinforce these virtues and their duty to serve society while having lots of fun with everyone and their families!
