Chapter 9 | Saying The Buddha's Name | 念 佛 - Nembutsu | 南 無 阿 彌 陀 佛 | Pure Land Path | Jodo Shinshu
Saying The Name of Amida Buddha (念 佛 - Nembutsu), is the Easy Path out of samsara for all ordinary foolish persons, like ourselves, who are now trapped in samsara, the vicious cycle of birth and death. When we say 南 無 阿 彌 陀 佛 - Namo Amida Butsu, we are responding to The Buddha's Call of Boundless Compassion, that guarantees our birth in The Pure Land at the end of our miserable lives.
Chapter 9 tells us about Amida's Vow of Great Compassion and the benefits we would instantly receive, the moment we are able to entrust ourselves and say the Nembutsu. Listen Deeply, again and again, to this wonderful Dharma of Salvation. We would definitely be embraced and not forsaken by Amida's Light, when we Say the Buddha's Name.
