Do Phật hiệu nên tâm thuỷ ngưng lặng. Bởi thế, kẻ thượng trí chẳng bằng kẻ hạ ngu, biến quá khéo thành vụng về lớn vậy!”

Like the legendary, Wish Fulfilling Mani Jewel, described by Master Tan Luan, our saying of Namo Amituo Fo (Namo Amida Bu), would automatically fulfil all our aspirations for peace and happiness, here and now. This is indeed, beyond the conceptual understanding of foolish persons, like us.

Chapter 20 tells us about the benefits received in the present, by persons who Say the Buddha's Name (念 佛 - Nembutsu), which embodies His Primal Vow to save all suffering beings. The first part, which enumerates the ten benefits, is described by Master Shinran in his Kyo-Gyo-Shin-Sho, while his wonderful Hymn, tells us about the Benefits and protections given to those who say Namo Amida Butsu

As the six character Name is not a mantra or meditational practice, you can recite it in your own language of choice:

"Namo Amida Bu" "Namo Amituo Fo", "Namo Adida Phat", "Namu Amita Bul" ..etc.

Amida Buddha's Name is endowed with His infinite merits and virtues which are freely given to all persons who entrust themselves to The Primal Vow. The Name is inconceivable and so is the immense benefits and protections received by persons who say it. Saying the Name is an extremely rare opportunity for us, to be completely free of all suffering. So, let us not miss it. Simply say Namo Amida Butsu (南 无 阿 彌 陀 佛) and be definitely saved.
