Sometime about the 5th century before the Common Era. Near Rājagaha city, the capital of Magadha, India. “You finally came.”
“Finally, I found. You are the teacher that I have been looking for many years.”
“Nice to meet you too. Since I've attained the true path, I will teach you, Mahakasyapa.” Yes.
The World Honored One was waiting for the tourist. The tourist is Mahakasyapa who kept looking for a brilliant teacher.
“If I don't know but say I know. If I haven't been enlightened but claim enlightened myself, my body will split into 7 pieces immediately.” Yes.
Then World Honored One patiently talked dharma on the spot. Mahakasyapa listened carefully without missing a word.
“This is Mahakasyapa. From now on, he is everyone's companion.”
“This man is very dirty. He really is.”
“Welcome to the Venu-vana Vihara (bamboo woods temple). If you have any questions, please ask me.”
“He didn't even know how to say a greeting.”
“Welcome, but the practice is very strict here.”
“Pick this guy back. World Honored One is really looking for trouble.” “There are various rules of practice under the teaching of the Buddha.” One is to live in a forest far away from human habitation and live on asking for alms every day.
When asking for food, one must not distinguish the objects between poor and the rich. Only one meal is allowed per day. Only clothes stitched with patches are allowed. Must not bring other things. There were many strict rules.

Mahakasyapa was joyful to abide by the rules. He diligently practiced without falling behind. However, some disciples resented Mahakasyapa and often slurred him behind.
“Upanandi, he didn't move yet.” “Let me see. Amazing, he has done this for 3 consecutive days. What on earth is he thinking?”
“He could be thinking nothing. Just make a pose and sleep secretly. Must be like this.”
“He pretends to practice from day to night.” “It'd be strange if he understood what the World Honored One said of dharma. He better give up early and flee from here.”
Overhearing the gossip of disciples, the World Honored One thought: One day, he must let everyone know the advantages of Mahakasyapa. Therefore, World Honored One summoned his disciples to preach the dharma one day. “He seems to climb up from the garbage heap.”
When seeing Mahakasyapa coming over, the World Honored One immediately taught the most difficult part. However, disciples hardly understood. All matters are created by the mind. Everything is initiated by causes and conditions. Everything is ceased by causes and conditions.

Well, do you understand? Do you understand?
I don't understand.
How about you? Me either, I'm sorry.
Is that so? All of you don't understand. Mahakasyapa. It turns out your are there. Your seat is here. Come over and sit here. Why is it? What I just talked about seems to be too difficult for you. Mahakasyapa, come here. Instead of me. Would you repeat what I said in a simpler way?
He... What's going on?
Thank master for your kindness but I'm not qualified to sit beside you. What's more, it's talking dharma on behalf of master. I can't accept it anyway. I prefer to enjoy the delight of dharma alone under your teachings.
Mahakasyapa, it's rare that master...
It doesn't matter. Let him do as he wishes. Mahakasyapa, after meeting me the 8th day, has attained enlightenment. Further, he got rid of desire through cultivation, being content, doesn't talk nonsense, thoroughly implements my teachings.

From now on, everyone should learn from Mahakasyapa.
So I said, Mahakasyapa isn't a common role.
That's a lie, you slandered him.
That's you slandering him, and you said someone else.
What are you talking about?
You are annoying. I disagree. That guy refused to talk dharma because he lacks confidence.
But the the World Honored One...
World Honored One is prejudicial, and I don't like it.
In addition to the stubborn Upanandi, no one slurred Mahakasyapa anymore. Since then, everybody respectfully called Mahakasyapa a silent man. However, Mahakasyapa, silently enjoying the delight of dharma, was concerned with something else.
That was his wife, Bhadda, who was waiting for Mahakasyapa's receiving at this hometown. Mahakasyapa'sname is Pippali. Once, he was the richest man in Magadha state. He disliked all worldly enjoyments when he was young. He looked forward to leaving home and lived a pure and peaceful life.
But he couldn't reject his parent's request and had a merely nominal marriage with Bhadda, a woman from a wealthy family. As a result, on the wedding night, he found that Bhadda was like himself, wished to leave home and seek the path. They both were very happy. Later, his parents passed away. They inherited their family property.
One day, Bhadda ordered the female servants to put the sesame seeds for making oil outside to bask in the sun.
