In the Jin Dynasty, there was a master Tanyi who lived in Zhejiang province. In his early years, he followed Master Huiyuan of Mount Lu to become a monk. Later, he studied under the Master Kumarajah. After studying a while, he returned and made a hut and lived there. Since then, he devoutly recited the Lotus Sutra for 12 years.
Is anybody home? Master, I went to the mountain to collect herbs, but I was delayed because of my carelessness. It's getting late now. If I go any further, I'm afraid I'll run into wolves and tigers. Therefore, I would like to borrow from you for a night.
