When you recite the mantra, visualize Tara in front of you, at the level of your forehead. On her forehead is a white OM, essence of the vajra holy body; at her neck, a red AH, essence of vajra holy speech; and at her heart, a blue HUNG, essence of the vajra holy mind. Visualize white nectar beams flowing from the OM, striking your forehead, and entering inside your body to purify all the obscurations and negative karmas you have accumulated until now. From the AH at Tara's throat, visualize red nectar beams emitting and striking your throat which purifies all obscurations and negative karmas accumulated with your speech. Visualize from Tara's heart syllable, HUNG, blue nectar beams entering your heart which purifies all the obscurations and negative karmas accumulated with your mind until now are purified.
