Tzu Chi volunteers in Malaysia carry out disaster relief in the aftermath of flood.
At year-end blessing ceremonies, volunteers show dedication to future recycling work.

1. 砂拉越水患
Welcome to Da Ai Headlines. I'm Siri Su. Thank you for joining us. Heavy rainfall led to flood in Kuching Province in Malaysia. As a result, more than 4,400 people had to settle in 49 evacuation centers. Tzu Chi volunteers started to assess damages and carry out disaster relief work.

2. 柬水患發放
In Cambodia, the rainy season is from May to November every year. During this period last year, Battambang experienced drought and two floods, affecting many residents. Upon receiving the government's request, Tzu Chi volunteers rushed there immediately to host 3 distributions in 3 counties. They gave out rice and cooking oil to nearly 3,000 households.

3. 港街友發放
In Hong Kong, a group of volunteers appear at street corners during night time, providing winter supplies for homeless people. This time, they also gave out hot food and soup. Let's join them there.

4. 哈爾濱助除雪
In Harbin, 74-year solitary senior Mr. Liu makes a living by herding sheep and selling goat milk. Tzu Chi volunteers have been caring for him, treating him like an elderly family member. Recently, his courtyard and the path in front of his house have been covered with snow. As a result, he could not go out to herd sheep. Upon learning of his plight, volunteers came to clear snow for him.

5. 上人雲嘉歲末
At the year-end blessing ceremonies in Yunlin and Chiayi, volunteers arrived to show their dedication to future recycling work. A couple shows us how they are doing this together while some volunteers show recycling can help them recover from previous injuries. No matter the reason, every recycling volunteer is ready to give.

6. 上人嘉共善
In 2020, Tzu Chi and Chiayi city government has signed an MOU to work together in promoting environmental protection and charity work. The mobile recycling education car that tours around Taiwan, has taken off from Chiayi. As Dharma Master Cheng Yen came to Chiayi, volunteers shared their experiences.

7. 大安歲末掃除
In Taipei's Daan District, a community year-end blessing ceremony is about to be held. Volunteers mobilized and carried out the cleaning task. Despite the cold weather, everyone worked hard, and welcomed the participants with joy.

8. 檳城清掃助人
In Malaysia's Penang, a care recipient and his family live in the Rifle Range community. The adults have health problems and must also take care of their son who suffers from mental problem. To help their family live in a cleaner environment, Tzu Chi volunteers are here to help them.

9. 檳城喪夫掃除
Also in Penang, Malaysia, a Tzu Chi care recipient's husband has passed away, leaving her in despair. Her house is filled with her husband's belongings. Tzu Chi volunteers have come to care for her and cleaned up her living environment. They hope she can start a new chapter of her life.

10. 好土護農糧(1)
In response to climate change and environmental degradation, the United Nations launched 17 sustainable development policies. One of which was reducing the use of pesticides. Taiwan's Council of Agriculture also announced the goal of reducing chemical pesticides in ten years. While in the past three years, the use of pesticides has reduced, but we still have a long way to go to meet this goal. Follow our report as we investigate the issue!
