In the Philippines, Tzu Chi volunteers hold rice distribution for the second time in Bohol Island.
A truck used in Keelung is sent to Yunlin County to help transport second-hand assistive devices.

1.保和二次紓困
Welcome to Da Ai Headlines. I'm Ruby Ng. Thanks for joining us. In the Philippines, Tzu Chi volunteers held a rice distribution for the second time in Bohol Island, helping over 3000 people. A local resident, although suffering from polio, still rode his tricycle to the distribution site just to hand the bamboo coin bank over to volunteers to express his gratitude.

2.英冬令發放
In the United Kingdom, the pandemic has worsened and the temperature has gotten colder, leading many homeless people to struggle. Tzu Chi volunteers prepared care packages and held a winter distribution, bringing warmth to dark corners of society.

3.福州入戶送暖
Fuzhou Tzu Chi volunteers went to the mountains to send winter warmth to students from impoverished families. They divided into 33 groups and visited more than 100 families to deliver winter supplies and New Year blessings.

4.馬病童關懷
Siti Aishah is a Tzu Chi care recipient in Malacca. Her 5-year-old daughter suffered from Wilms tumor, and has her right kidney removed. She could only eat a small amount of food. Tzu Chi volunteers went to care and subsidize the girl with nutritional milk powder. To repay Tzu Chi's love, Siti started doing recycling, and donated into bamboo coin bank to help others in need.

5.馬援助蘇家將
Owing to the influence of COVID-19, So Chia Chiang in Malacca has not worked for half a year, getting by on crackers and water as meals, and sleeping in a warehouse. Fortunately, Tzu Chi volunteers gave him the support he needed.

6.輔具車捐雲林
In Keelung, Tzu Chi volunteer, Wu Wenzan donated a truck to deliver second-handed assistive devices 2 years ago. After learning that Yunlin volunteers also needed a truck to deliver such devices, he decided to send the truck to his hometown to serve locals. Let's take a look.

7.基隆環保人物
In Taiwan, there is an elderly couple who both volunteer with Tzu Chi. When they were young, the husband drank a lot of alcohol and the wife had to bear with him. Later the husband joined Tzu Chi, and his wife also became a dedicated Tzu Chi volunteer, passing their golden years serving others.

8.桃八德送床
In Taoyuan, volunteers headed over to a care recipient's home to deliver Jing Si folding bed and blanket. With these new items, he no longer has to sleep on the floor and finally is able to have a good rest at night.

9.花監歲末送暖
Owing to the pandemic, no year-end blessing ceremony was held at Hualien Prison this year. Despite this, three Tzu Chi volunteers visited ill inmates to show concern about their current situation.

10.馬難民帆布袋
According to the UNHCR, as of April 2019, Malaysia has about 170,000 refugees applying for sanctuary. These refugees face many challenges in resources and documentation, and their children often can't attend public schools. Thankfully there're five education centers in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur to give them a chance at education and change their lives around.
