【如何兼顧工作與修行?】/海濤法師【How to balance work and family】/Master Hai Tao
Good day, Dharma Master!
As career women with children,
we juggle full-time jobs with families and kids to be taken care of.
What's worse, our spouses may not be considerate.
Living in French society, we've got to endeavor desperately to survive.
There is little chance for us to cultivate in daily life.
How would it be more expedient for us to practice Samadhi
under such circumstances?
Without Samadhi, no matter what methods we practice,
there is no way to cultivate well for good.
Master: Thank you for your question. Have a seat, please.
Thanks to the lady for her question. That's a very good one.
The purpose of cultivation is to free people from the inevitable sufferings.
Going through more hardship enhances more opportunities to practice.
As mentioned above, a husband's being inconsiderate does facilitate the cultivation.
Take being a monk/nun for example.
Why choose a life of renunciation as a monk/nun?
It's all because of suffering. The torment is beyond description.
We not only suffer from our own pain, but also sense our parents in pain.
Many people think that money brings happiness. We all think it that way.
However, rich people suffer more.
Taxes levied on the wealthy force them to be more hypocritical.
