2) His Holiness the 42nd Sakya Trizin of Indonesia. Highlights of the Completion of the Empowerment of the Three Protectors of Tibet in Indonesia. Tony Badminton Hall 1/27
????1/27-2 Afternoon: His Holiness the 42nd Sakya Trizin, the First Abbot, bestowed the Empowerment of the Three Protectors of Tibet in Indonesia. In Tibetan Buddhism, the Three Protectors are the most exalted bodhisattvas, and this empowerment also represents the unity of the three core elements of Buddhism: wisdom, compassion, and power. His Holiness also gave pre-empowerment teachings, which can be recorded and shared with Buddhist followers.
The Three Protectors are: Manjushri Bodhisattva (wisdom Buddha family), symbolizing the wisdom that cuts through afflictions and ignorance; Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva (great compassion lotus family), representing compassion and love for saving sentient beings; and Vajrapani Bodhisattva (powerful, the Vajra family's power to subdue all obstacles). The Three Bodhisattvas of Compassion and Wisdom encompass the complete resources and support needed for spiritual practice, Buddhahood, and benefiting all beings! Therefore, in Tibet, the Three Protectors are regarded as the guardian deities of the Tibetan people and Buddhist practitioners.
After nearly two hours of teachings and empowerments by the 42nd Sakya Trizin, a short rest was given before the 43rd Trizin bestowed the Four-Armed Vajrapani empowerment.
