When you are young, you should read more about the terminology of Dharma, you can't go wrong with it. Definitely not to memorize the explanation of the sutra. The meaning of the sutra is where you get enlightened. It varies year by year and month by month. Your will continuously improve your level, and your enlightenment will become deeper and wider. Therefore, when the sutra is unfolded, I can speak long, short, deep, or superficial with ease.
I am a mortal, with deep karmic obstacles. I can learn it, but why can't you learn it? The sins you have committed are not as heavy as mine. I've even committed the sin of the 5 treasonous sins, that is to cause Buddha's body to bleed. I believe you didn't do this.
Buddha is not alive, how can I make him bleeding? It's equal to make the Buddha bleeding, and that is destroying the Buddha statue. When I was in elementary school, I was naughty and used temple Buddha statues as toys and then trashed them after playing with them.
We dug open the belly of the wooden Buddha statue. What's inside? There were talisman and a lot of things hidden inside. That was a sin equivalent to causing the Buddha's body to bleed. Because the environment was different at that time. 2:00
During the resistance war, temples were used as schools.
I have the opportunity to play with Buddha statues. It’s not like now where the school buildings are all magnificent. Modern people are blessed.
When I was young, I loved hunting and killed animals every day. I have been hunting for three years, which is a serious sin. I have not received any evil retribution. My merit is in preaching dharma.
In the past Ganzhu Living Buddha (1914~1978 )was like giving me a certificate. A year before his nirvana, we met at a Dharma gathering. He told me, "Your karmic obstacles were very heavy, you had no blessings at all, and your life was short. I nodded after listening: You are right, I know it all. It's not that I don't know. You are different now, he said, Not only do you live longer, but you also have great blessings.
These are all the merits of promoting the Dharma and preaching the sutras over the years. Did I request for it? No request. I didn’t ask for anything, I just felt it was my responsibility to spread the Dharma and benefit living beings. Why would I do this? Why would I do this? Why do I learn Dharma?
If I don’t understand, I won't do it.
4:00
If I understand, I have to do it. If somebody do it, I won't do it. Why should I suffer this hardship? If no one does it, I have no choice but to do it.
If someone can do it, why should I work so hard and run around. It forces me to have no way out. Since no one is doing it, there is nothing I can do. I was forced and have no way out. I feel it is an obligation and I should do it.
